Attractions near Brenzone
The Pensione Panoramica is located in the charming town of Brenzone sul Garda, in the surroundings of which we would like to recommend some places of interest.
The municipality of Brenzone consists of 16 small villages and settlements scattered at the foot of Monte Baldo. Here you can still find him, the original charm of Lake Garda. Narrow, often very steep streets lead past historic houses and through olive groves - a tranquility that you will not find on the lake all too often.
Churches to see
The area here is strongly influenced by Catholicism, so you should not miss to visit the many small churches and monasteries that decorate parts of the village and the countryside in and around Brenzone. In Assenza di Brenzone there is e.g. the small parish church of San Nicola the Bari. It has beautiful frescoes from the 14th century. In Magugnano, the capital of Brenzone, there is another interesting church, San Giovanni Battista. It is dedicated to John the Baptist and became known mainly for its large organ from the 16th century. The simple church of San Pietro in Campo di Brenzone is worth a visit, especially for its murals by Giorgio da Riva. The parish church of Sant'Antonio in Biazza stands at a dizzying height on a rock and the church of San Zeno, it stands in a cemetery south of Castelletto and is one of the oldest on this shores of Lake Garda.
The old town of Brenzone
The old town center of Brenzone itself is also worth seeing. It is typical of this region with its small streets and shops. In the small district of Pai are a few lordly Palazzi to find, which one would not suspect in this area.
Trimelone Island
The island of Trimelone is opposite the beach of Absenza and is nothing more than the rest of a fortress of the First World War approachable by a boat trip or sup.
Prada and Monte Baldo
From Brenzone you can get to Prada along a path about 10 km long. From Malcesine, by cableway, you can reach the top of the Baldo, the "home mountain" of the Pension Panoramica.
